We offer scholarships to bright, good and needy children by providing education at various levels:
What are the eligibility requirements to get BHF scholarship?
An applicant for BHF scholarship should be:
· A resident of Bungoma or Kitale
· Needy students, from a vulnerable background
· Academically promising and score above 270 marks
· Learning in a public primary school waiting to sit for K.C.P.E
· College and University are strictly for those who have been sponsored in secondary level.
What is paied?
School Scholarship:
In addition to the school fees and other fees required by the school, the sponsorship support the following benefits:
- School uniform
- Pocket money on a termly basis
- Shopping kit, Solar lamps and Transport (for particularly needy students)
- Hygiene products
- Psychosocial support & advice from our social workers
University & College Scholarship
In addition to the fees, we support the following benefits, depending on the family's neediness:
- University/college fees
- Accommodation
- Pocket money
- Meals
- Laptops on loan for the duration of studies (depending on the course)
- Bicycle on loan
- Personal support & advice from our social workers
When should I apply for BHF scholarship?
School Scholarship:
The application period is 3 months before the national exams.
University / College Scholarship:
After you have started receiving your placement letter.
How do I apply for scholarship?
School Scholarship:
The applicant submits application physically in the BHF office while in class 8 waiting to sit for K.C.P.E exam.
University / College Scholarship:

When will I receive feedback?
School Scholarship:
The feedback period for an application is normally in December.
University / College Scholarship:
Usually one month after the application.
